THE CHALLENGE

The Youth4Youth Challenge combines two separate challenges.

1) Raise the minimum $1000 per team of two (maximum three). Here's some fundraising ideas.

2) The challenging - and beautiful - 20km bushwalk through the Ku-ring-gai National Park north of Sydney.

The Youth4Youth Challenge route begins near Berowra Station and then follows a rugged and stunning loop, revealing a fantastic selection of Sydney’s bushland.

It first descends through rain forested gullies to the estuarine beauty of Cowan Creek before winding its way along the near level terrain of the sandstone foreshore and angophora trees.

The first part of the trail then re-enters the shady rainforest creek gully near Apple Tree Bay before ascending to the sandstone ridge at Mt Kuring Gai and the halfway checkpoint.

Crossing the footbridge over the railway line and freeway the second half of the trail sees you descending through the cool and shady Lyrebird Gully to Berowra Creek and another tidal estuary.

The final challenge is the ascent through the eucalypt forests up to Berowra Heights and the finish line at the Berowra Oval event centre.
